At the Intersection of Art and Science
May 13, 2015
On April 29, writer Joyce Carol Oates and her neuroscientist husband Charles Gross conversed on topics ranging from science, art, writing, the brain, and memory in Baxter Lecture Hall before a standing-room-only crowd as part of Caltech's James Michelin Distinguished Visitors Program. Gross and Oates, as recounted by Larry Wilson in his Pasadena Star News column, "proved a marvelous couple in conversation, playing off each other, each brilliant, each non-pedantically so." A video of their conversation is available here.
