What an unusual film. No "dialog" as such in this movie—narration and visual impact provide the "plot." Based on the famed novel by Marlene Haushofer and beautifully filmed in the Austrian Alp's, Salzkammergut. An unexpected, sudden and inexplicable invisible wall has appeared and separates our protagonist from the "outside world" and human contact. What happens if a person suddenly has to live without any kind of social interactions? Maybe a special association with nature? What does it all mean? Criticism of civilization? An intellectually poignant journey—give it a chance and let the mesmerizing imagery sink in. A gorgeous and very special film.
