Generative AI and Teaching in Fall 2023
Susanne Hall, Teaching Professor of Writing and Hixon Writing Center Director, will host two info sessions for HSS faculty on generative AI and teaching before fall term begins. In these sessions, Susanne will offer updated information about the capabilities of generative AI and the implications the existence of these tools has for teaching and learning this fall. We will also discuss the creation of course-specific generative AI policies, ways to rethink assignments and assessment, and challenges to anticipate. The session will also provide a forum for sharing your planned approaches as well as questions.
Another session will be/was offered on September 6 in order to accommodate varied schedules. Please choose one session to attend and RSVP using the link above. If you cannot attend either session, you may request access to a recording of the presentation portion of the September 6 session by completing the registration form.
Boxed lunches will be provided by the Hixon Writing Center to those who register.
