CPET Seminar by Professor Maura Dykstra, Recipient of the 2022 Feynman Prize for Excellence in Teaching
What Are We Doing Here?
Join CPET and the CTLO in engaging with Professor Maura Dykstra, who shares the following:
"Platitudes about the fundamental value of education abound. Many of us who feel called to teach have taken the hallowed place of learning in our society for granted for most of our lives. But things are changing. The structural, political, and social foundations of our lives in the academy are no longer as secure as they were even in the recent past."
In this talk, Dr. Maura Dykstra reflects on how her own teaching mission, her research, and her profile as an academic have been challenged and transformed by the exigencies of our age.
